Sun Classrooms Ski Classrooms

YOU PRACTICE in a dynamic and challenging environment. While keeping clinically current is imperative, it isn't enough. You must also acquire the skills necessary to navigate a professional liability minefield, manage a more effective and efficient practice, and master a maze of healthcare laws and regulations. The 2007-8 Medical-Legal Update is designed to assist you in that endeavor.

In one course you will receive 20 hours of vital instruction from national experts, including an actual malpractice trial, 7 sessions on reducing your malpractice and regulatory exposure, 10 lectures designed to help make your practice both more profitable and more effective, and 3 hours of programming on "hot" clinical topics. Among the specific lecture topics are new insights into cardiovascular risk and Type 2 Diabetes management, practice scenarios with the highest risk profiles and how to lower them; increasing fee collections in an era of higher co-pays and deductibles; current Fraud and Abuse concerns; practical insights on the benefits (and downsides) of Electronic Health Records; and much more.

Produced in state-of-the-art production studios with broadcast-grade digital technology, The Update is presented in a structured classroom setting affording you the opportunity for dialogue with your medical, dental and legal colleagues. The course is approved for up to 20 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 CME credit as well as extensive Continuing Legal Education and Continuing Dental Education credit and through September 2008 you will have over 900 opportunities to attend at your choice of 31 premier sun and ski resorts – virtually any week you choose.
